Events / Shoots

Members are encouraged to join in the regular 'Saturday Afternoon Shoot' at WCA. There's both a long and a short round on the calendar every week, so there's something for everyone! All FITA affiliated archers are welcome at these shoots. The club also hosts several special events during the year, including Club Championships, Intra-Club Tournaments, and State Tournaments.

 

Club Shoots
Every Saturday afternoon members get together to shoot the round of the day. The club shooting calendar will keep you up to date with which round will be shot each week.

 

President's Shield
Every second month a handicap Canberra round (30 arrows at three distances, 60, 50 & 40 metres) is shot. You have to be in it to win it!

 

Waverley Shield
A handicap event, shot as an 'Adelaide' round - the only person you have to beat is yourself!

 

Club Championship
Each year WCA holds 4 Club Championship rounds, to determine the overall Club Champion. This consists of a Clout, an Indoor, a Target and a Field round. Members have to shoot 3 out of 4 to be eligible for the Championship Award.
