Coaching

Coaching is available for beginners and experienced archers of both recurve, longbow and compound bow styles. All ages are welcome, with youngsters from 8 to 50+ years having been introduced to archery at our club.

New archers (who have not been registered with Archery Australia) are required to attend an introductory course on basic shooting, etiquette and safety. A fee is charged for the 4 week (one day per week) course; contact our coaches for details. Once a beginning archer completes the course they can have access to club equipment and shoot at the club for 3 months. Courses are normally held on Saturday mornings, but can be undertaken at other times on arrangement with the coaches. As part of the joining the club, members are also registered with Archery Australia enabling access to a number of archery clubs in Australia and overseas.

If you have completed the course or are already a registered member of Archery Australia, you can apply to become member of the club and shoot at the club. Of course, you are welcome to apply for social membership whether you are an archer or not.

For more information on the introductory course contact the coaching co-ordinator. For information on social membership contact the club secretary.

All archers no matter how experienced never stop learning! Our coaches and senior archers are always happy to assist in helping archers of all levels.
